CALHOUN, Ga. — Reed Allen was talking about his team, but he might as well have been discussing himself.
“People statewide look at us and see that we’re undersized, but they don’t understand the intensity we play with,” the 6-foot-2, 230-pound Calhoun defensive end said. “Basically, it comes down to the way we work out and practice every day. We hold nothing back.
“You reap what you sow and we know the only way we can compete is to outwork people. We’re all on the same page and we work as a team. With that, we can overcome anything.”
That comment doesn’t surprise coach Hal Lamb, who sees an athlete who likely will come into his own very soon because of what he’s willing to do to get there.
