Zombi Candi Boutique and Salon will spotlight the Olde Towne section of Brainerd Road with two events this weekend.
Saturday, the business will offer free back-to-school haircuts to introduce its new salon. A fashion show and live all-ages concert also are scheduled.
Head stylist Karin Newlon recommends appointments for haircuts but will accept walk-ins between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. In conjunction with the Zombies Love Brains rewards program, students can register to win a Manic Panic hair-color product or hair feather extension when they show a current school ID.
Music will start at 9 p.m. inside the store, 3240 Brainerd Road. Featured are indie rockers The Zou from Youngstown, Ohio, and opening act Jungol from Atlanta. Tickets to the all-ages show are $5 and will include the chance to prizes and gift certificates from Zombi Candi.
Sunday, the action moves down the street to The Comedy Catch, 3224 Brainerd Road, for the D.J. Lewis Swinging Ball.
