“Good morning and welcome to ‘Old Town Cleveland,'” Moore says.

It’s Saturday. It’s 10 a.m. It’s radio WOOP 99 FM.

His wife, Debbie Moore ,introduces the guests, Bennie and Helen Triplett. He grew up in the Church of God orphanage and became a well-known Southern gospel writer and singer.

The radio show has been going for over two years now. It’s history but with a local touch. One week featured local veterans from Vietnam and Pearl Harbor and a Korean POW. Another was all about old toys. Shows have focused on the Copper Basin, Lake Winnepesaukah and who had the fastest car in the ’60s.
