Ingvalson’s focus touched many lives
Roger Ingvalson’s legacy:
Roger’s life demonstrates the extent our loving Father will go to prepare His children for service. As Roger fell to earth after his Air Force plane was shot down in 1968, he met God as his Lord and Savior, miraculously landing with no broken bones. His body was captured by the North Vietnamese, but his soul was captured by the grace of the living God.
God protected and sustained Roger through the horrible starvation and torture as a POW. In 1979 he found great fulfillment when God called him to develop Chattanooga Prison Ministries.
Under Roger’s direction, a foundation was laid that has touched countless lives. Over 32 years some 1,000 volunteers have carried the message of Jesus to untold numbers of inmates. Since 1995, over 100,000 youth have participated in a program to help them make better choices and discover hope in their lives.
