KNOXVILLE – The already strong close to the University of Tennessee’s 2011 recruiting class got that much stronger tonight, just hours before national signing day officially began.
According to reports, Curt Maggitt, a four-star linebacker prospect out of Dwyer High School in West Palm Beach, Fla., announced that he will sign with the Volunteers in the morning.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Maggitt is a top-200 player and the No. 31 prospect in Florida according to Rivals.com. He chose UT over Florida and had offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida State and others.
Maggitt is the third four-star prospect to announce a decision to sign with UT in the last 24 hours.
