University of Tennessee at Chattanooga basketball coach John Shulman is convinced that Georgia Southern will win a Southern Conference game before the end of the season.
The Eagles have come close recently.
In its last two games, GSU (4-18, 0-9) was within three points of Davidson in the second half and owned a second-half lead against College of Charleston before falling by four.
Shulman hopes the Eagles don’t break into the win column tonight. His Mocs host them at 7 in McKenzie Arena.
“Charlton [Young] just can’t make them older,” Shulman said of the Eagles’ coach. “They have a ton of freshmen playing. They’re going to be good. They are good. They just haven’t tasted success.”
