The Chattanooga Housing Authority announces events taking place this month in the Neighborhood Networks Lab, located at Greenwood Terrace Apartments.
Feb. 22: In honor of Black History Month, youth at Greenwood Terrace will present a 5 p.m. program recognizing contributions of African-Americans.
Feb. 24: Neighborhood Networks will host a Healthy Hearts initiative for residents at 4 p.m. called Caring for Your Blood Pressure. A registered nurse will conduct free glucose and blood pressure checks and provide information residents should know.
Feb. 28: The Chattanooga-Hamilton County Health Department is offering a smoking cessation class at 5:30 p.m., led by Beth M. Simpson, a health educator and TennCare outreach official.
