The Mountain Business Association is working to make shopping and buying locally not only enjoyable, but also cost-effective through a yearlong discount card and a new event featuring local health and beauty professionals.
At its February meeting, the MBA board suggested several innovative ways to serve local customers by partnering with the Mountain Education Fund to offer a Signal Savings Discount Card for 10 percent off retail prices good for a year at participating businesses; an updated website that each business could access to provide its customers with printable coupons; and plans for a Health, Home and Beauty Expo at the former SMMS gym to showcase the many services available for mountain residents through demonstrations, giveaways and fun for the family.
Barbara Amabile announced CLS Lighting’s new “Buy Four, Get One Free” promotion for energy-saving halogen bulbs.
The MBA consists of 75 members who live and work in the community. For more information contact Linda Roberts-Harris at Cutting Corners Framing and Art/Gift Gallery at 886-1869.
