Radical Islam and secure borders

If you think keeping job-seeking illegal aliens out of the United States is the only reason to protect our borders, think again. Border authorities recently caught a radical Muslim cleric, who had earlier been deported from Canada, trying to enter California from Mexico in the trunk of a car.

The imam, Said Jaziri, has advocated Islamic law and called for the death of a Danish artist who drew cartoons of Islam’s Prophet Muhammad.

Authorities say he traveled from Africa to Europe, then to Central America, then through Mexico to the U.S. border. He was caught only after someone saw him get in the trunk.

He was apparently determined to enter this country. Our nation should be equally determined to strengthen the protection of our borders to keep out radicals such as Jaziri.
