BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Jim Reynolds provided the play-by-play and a little analysis of the Mocs’ 77-72 overtime win at Samford on Saturday on the radio.
He had a great view of the game with the Mocs’ bench just a few feet away to his left and in front of coach John Shulman’s stomping grounds of the coach’s box.
Reynolds also had a computer at hand.
So during a timeout, with the Mocs up by seven points at Samford, the veteran radio voice known through the Tennessee Valley asked Shulman a question.
‘”Do you want to know?'” as Shulman recalled. “Do you want to know the Western [Carolina] score?”
