Taylor Hall will attend her first class at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga when the spring semester starts next Monday. By then the 6-foot-1 freshman will have played in seven games for the Lady Mocs.
Hall, the 2010 Tennessee Class AAA Miss Basketball award winner, joined the Lady Mocs in mid-December, a day before they left for a two-game road trip. She got in one light practice before they played the College of Charleston on Dec. 16.
To her surprise, Hall played against the Cougars less than 48 hours after joining the team and made a 3-pointer on her first collegiate field-goal attempt.
“I was trying to get comfortable, and I guess the only way to do that is to get in the game,” Hall said.
Hall has averaged 6.4 minutes per game off the bench in her five games with UTC (5-8, 2-2 Southern Conference), which hosts Furman (6-6, 2-1) tonight.
