‘Surprisingly quiet’ in Bradley, official says

Despite 7 to 10 inches of snow in Bradley County, “it has been a surprisingly quiet morning,” said Bradley County Emergency Management Agency spokesman Matthew Cason.

No roads in Bradley County have been officially closed, Cason said, but there were widespread reports of roads blocked by snow and ice. County snow plows were working, he said, “but it has been slow going due to the amount of snow.”

At noon, Cason said, there were no reports of injuries or medical emergencies due to the winter storm.

“The big concern now is the temperatures the rest of the week,” Cason said. “Tuesday is our best chance for temperatures above freezing until Friday.”
