The city of Chattanooga announced today it was suspending garbage collection the rest of this week because of the huge amounts of snow still laying on city streets.
Richard Beeland, spokesman for Mayor Ron Littlefield, said the city is focused on trying to clear the streets.
City officials said if residents have trash that cannot fit into the container, it will be picked up if laid next to the trash can.
