James Wyatt, 43, shot Jason Howard, 35, during an argument, said a dispatcher at the sheriff’s office. Police found Howard at a home on Shiloh Road in Decatur around 4:15 a.m.

Howard has been treated at Erlanger hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition.

This is the second shooting in a week in Meigs County. Last Wednesday a Georgetown woman was charged with shooting and killing her boyfriend during a domestic dispute. Dede Neely was charged with voluntary manslaughter after admitting she shot Brian Cofer at 1483 Highway 58, police said.
