Type of guns is the problem
The writer of the letter, Jan. 14, “Guns not needed to stop crime” did not go far enough in her message. Guns are here to stay; however, it appears to me the type of guns is the problem.
Please tell me why the need for anyone to own a high-powered full or semi-automatic weapon that will fire many rounds in a few seconds of time.
The NRA “Guns do not kill, people do,” or the ol’ “chicken or egg” theory is bunk.
I’m sure the parents of the 9-year-old girl take no comfort in any of the debate about who is responsible.
