Police are looking for a man they believe is responsible for an early morning shooting in Rossville.
Derrick Lewis, 28, arrived at Erlanger hospital about 2 a.m. with a bullet wound in his right buttock, police said.
Lewis initially told officers that he was shot in a drive-by shooting in the 4100 block of Fagan Street.
After further investigation, Lewis admitted that he had been at Terry’s Lounge at 4010 Rossville Blvd. and had gotten into a verbal argument with a man he knew as Cordirrus Birt.
The argument ended and he went out back to talk on his cell phone, Lewis told police. Birt followed Lewis outside, pulled a handgun, then shot Lewis in the buttocks, according to police.
