The Tennessee River Gorge Trust marks its 30th anniversary this year, but that’s not all officials are celebrating.

At an open house at the historic Pot Point House on Saturday, the organization also will affirm the thousands of acres of land that have been protected over the last three decades.

“Our entire region is so beautiful and has such an incredible history. We want to say thank you to those who have helped protect such special places,” said Sarah Quattrochi, outreach and education director. “The residents in Hamilton and Marion [counties] should be proud of the jewel that is the

Tennessee River Gorge.”
