Register, Trustee moving to new offices

Both the Hamilton County Trustee and the Hamilton County Register of Deeds will move their satellite offices over the weekend and by Monday will be doing business out of an office located at 6125 Preservation Drive.

Register of Deeds Pam Hurst said the satellite office will be closed on Friday at its current location on Heritage Park Drive.

Trustee Bill Hullander said he plans to be in the new satellite office Friday, if possible.

The downtown office at 625 Georgia Ave. will remain open.

The trustee collects taxes, and the register of reeds records documents, such as deeds. They currently share space at Heritage Park Drive, and both offices are in the same room. While the rent for both spaces is the same, the owners of the new building will pay the utilities and the offices will be separate.
