A wine tasting will take place 6:30-8:30 Saturday evening at The Georgia Winery, 6469 Battlefield Parkway, in Ringgold. The event will include a variety of wine for guests to sample as well as information about how wine is made.
Highlights of the evening will include a blind wine-tasting contest in which willing blindfolded guests will sample the winery’s award-winning wines and see how many they can correctly guess.
In February, the winery will hold Wine & Chocolate Open House events every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Winery spokeswoman Tara Taymore said the winery will be introducing its new chocolate wine, which is red muscadine wine infused with chocolate. The wine, yet to be named, will be made in a limited quantity, she said.
Saturday’s wine tasting is $15 per person, and reservations are required. Call 706-937-2177 or visit www.georgiawines.com.
The Georgia Winery & Vineyards, opened in 1983, is family owned and operated. Complimentary wine tastings and vineyard tours are offered routinely.
