The Lady Mocs shot just 29 percent from the field in the first half, hitting 9 of 31 shots, and trailed 24-22 as the Cougars were only slightly less cold from the floor.

UTC used an 18-5 run in the second half to take control of the game. Whitney Hood scored 17 points, Kayla Christopher added 16 and Tenisha Townsend 13.

The Lady Mocs were 19 of 27 from the field in the second half and 6 of 13 from 3-point range.
