The humble cow will be celebrated Saturday and Sunday in downtown Athens, Tenn., during the fourth annual National MooFest.

Created in 2008 as a way to celebrate the rich dairy history in McMinn County, the festival includes several contests such as a frozen T-shirt contest, milk chugging and ice cream eating, live music, carnival rides, food and arts and crafts. Proceeds benefit a variety of local civic organizations.

Admission is $3. Visit www.nationalmoofest.com/index.htm for information.
