Funeral services will be held Tuesday for Rose Marie Ingle, who served on the Chattanooga Board of Education from 1982 until the city and county schools merger in 1997. Ingle, 79, died Sunday.
One of her fellow board members, Janice Boydston, remembered her as a passionate advocate for education.
“She knew her own mind and didn’t mind speaking it,” Boydston said.”She felt there is no price you can put on a quality education.”
