Heritage House is hosting an open house Thursday, March 31 from 4 to 8 p.m. to get community feedback about the center and its programs.
“It will be a great opportunity to discuss everything we can do for the public,” said Heritage House director Chris Holley. “People will learn what opportunities are available for them, as well.”
A major focus of the open house will be listening to the voice of the people. Polls will be taken to determine types of classes and activities to offer, including sewing, clay and exercising classes, suchas the Samurai sword exercise class to be offered this summer, “Chicks with Swords.”
The startup of a more creative focus on ideas and goals will be addressed during the open house, Holley added.
“Since we are a civic center, our hours can be flexible throughout the day and evening,” she said. “We can accommodate those interested in after-school/work activities, as well as home-school kids during the day.”
