Red Bank’s Boring family is recovering from serious injuries in a recent car accident that resulted in all five family members being hospitalized. The wreck occurred where Greendale Way meets Hixson Pike in mid-September at 8 a.m.

Alpine Crest Elementary School enrolls three family members, the daughter, age 5 in kindergarten and two sons ages 7 and 8 in second and third grades. The youngest son, age 4, is preschool age.

“It was a major accident,” said Alpine Crest Elementary School principal Karen Day. “Originally they were all hospitalized. The two boys that attend school here were released. The dad was just released too.”

The father, Phillip Boring, still has significant medical issues and needs financial help in order to pay for physical rehabilitation.

“He’s a single parent with four children,” said Day. “His little girl is still in the hospital and doctors are moving her to Scottish Rite. She has major trauma.”
