HEARD ON THE TOWN
The Hamilton County Council of PTAs hosted its annual Principals and PTA Awards Dinner at the Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel’s Imperial Ballroom.
Soddy-Daisy High School JROTC presented the colors and the Ooltewah High School Chamber Ensembles provided music.
The Hamilton County Council of PTAs is a nonprofit organization that coordinates countywide PTA programs and services for local PTAs in Hamilton County public schools, said event spokeswoman Scottie Summerlin.
“The Council hosts training and networking sessions in August and September for local PTA leaders. Each year the Hamilton County Schools Superintendent delivers the State of the Schools address at the council’s October meeting,” Summerlin said in a news release. “The Council also hosts an annual Founder’s Day luncheon each February to honor PTA leaders.”
