Differentials Plus owner David Ratledge says his is one of two or three shops within 20-30 miles offering rear differential service.
“It takes patience and skill to do it right,” he said. “If you don’t get it perfect, it will make noise.”
Aside from rear differential work, Hixson resident David Ratledge also offers general auto repair and new and used tires and car parts at his shop, Differentials Plus.He opened his one-man shop last February, choosing his Hixson location because he had seen other business owners become successful in the area and go on to open bigger shops.
“A lot of people have started here and made it,” he said of his general location near the intersection of Middle Valley and Boy Scout roads.
He lists the reasonable rent, proximity of other businesses and steady traffic flow as reasons he believes the area is a good place to grow a business.
