Dance troupe gets federal cash to fight pollution — seriously

Do you believe that our federal government, which is already more than $15.3 trillion in debt, should be spending money on dance troupes that are somehow supposed to teach schoolchildren the dangers of pollution?

Believe it or not, your tax dollars are paying for exactly that.

A small group of dancers in Utah recently got a $25,000 “environmental-justice grant” from the Environmental Protection Agency to teach children in Salt Lake City about air pollution and the environment.

That understandably did not sit well with everyone.

“A federal government that is trying to get control of its budget has to prioritize,” U.S. Rep. Rob Bishop, R-Utah, told The Salt Lake Tribune.
