THINGS I WISH MY KIDS WOULD ASK ME
Editor’s note: Barry Courter has a 22-year-old son who recently graduated from college and an 18-year-old daughter who is a senior in high school.
Q: Dad, where do all these questions and answers come from?
A: I wish I could say I was just really smart, but the opposite is true. Most of the observations come from either a mistake I’ve made, something I’ve read about or a conversation with another parent about the mistakes they’ve made. The first method provides the most material. There is no point in reinventing the wheel, so why not learn from other people?
