Three members of a Winchester, Tenn., family have been arrested and charged on around 100 counts of passing worthless checks, records show.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office on Friday arrested Donald Patrick Henley Sr., 58; Brenda Sue Henley, 59; and Donald Patrick Henley Jr., 34, all of Holder Cemetery Road, according to the arrest report.
It appeared in reports sent by the sheriff’s office that the father was charged on five warrants and the son with about 97 warrants for writing or passing worthless checks. Brenda Sue Henley apparently is charged with two counts.
Sheriff Tim Fuller could not be reached for comment late Sunday night.
Most of the checks apparently were written or passed at a Kroger store in Decherd, Tenn., a Franklin County corrections officer said Sunday night.
