Bush has created holocaust of his own
The letters keep coming in from people who are offended by Clay Bennett’s cartoon about the Bush Library and his Holocaust reference. I, for one, am deeply offended that so many Americans are indifferent to the extent of George Bush’s heinous misdeeds while in office.
While most reasonable people will agree that Bush is no Hitler, that wretched man has enough blood on his hands to fill an ocean. It’s no stretch to think in terms of a Holocaust of his own making.
About 5,000 American soldiers and hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis have lost their lives in a war that was based on lies and cherry-picked intelligence. His library/museum ought rightfully to be called the George Herbert Walker Bush Holocaust Museum of Dead and Wounded American Soldiers and Innocent Iraqi Civilians, and he needs to be put on trial for war crimes.
Some people need to get their priorities in order about what they deem offensive. Mr. Bennett did not cross any sacrosanct line. Hitler created a holocaust the horror and magnitude of which were incomparable, but Bush created a holocaust of his own and it needs to be regarded as such.
