The widening of Apison Pike – it’s been years in the making and is finally on the horizon.
At its upcoming meeting Wednesday, Oct. 16, the Ooltewah-Collegedale Council of the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting representatives from the Tennessee Department of Transportation to give updates on the project’s progress as well as other area projects.
The meeting, which takes place at Collegedale City Hall at 4910 Swinyar Drive, is free of charge and officially begins at 9:30 a.m., with the doors opening for networking around 9 a.m. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for seating, as TDOT’s annual speaking engagement is typically the Council’s most well-attended meeting, drawing residents from the overall community.
“We will give updates on the SR-317 Apison Pike projects that are in development,” TDOT Regional Communications Officer Jennifer Flynn said in regards to the upcoming meeting. “I would say that if you want to get the latest and most accurate information on these projects, come to the meeting.”
TDOT Director of Project Development Wes Hughen and Project Manager James Ball will be on hand to answer questions and present information on the project during the meeting.
