The next Lunch Break session at the Chattanooga Public Library, 1001 Broad St., will be a nod to National Poetry Month.
You might as well accompany that nod with a tap of the toe. This session is all about keeping the beat.
The theme of the free lunchtime program is “Poem Song/Song Poem,” and local actors and poets will present the poetry/lyrics of some of music’s preeminent songwriters.
Indeed, there are rock, pop and rap stars who are also published poets, and some of their song lyrics are often published in poetry anthologies. The list includes Bob Dylan, Patti Smith and Tupac Shakur, to name a few, say event organizers.
You can listen in from 12:10 to 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, April 23.
