The basketball game between University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and Western Carolina that was set for tonight has been postponed until Friday.
Administrators from both schools and the Southern Conference came to that conclusion on Wednesday afternoon after examining weather reports which impact both teams, the scheduled officials and the McKenzie Arena staff.
“We ended up changing the game for a number of reasons,” UTC athletics director David Blackburn said Wednesday afternoon. “They’re not going to be able to get out until tomorrow.”
It’s a scheduling quirk for both teams, but nothing that should impact the game or future games for either team.
