Ray Brent Marsh sits between his attorney Ken Poston, right, and a deputy at the end of his bond hearing in the Walker County Magistrate Court in Lafayette, Ga., Friday, Feb. 22, 2002. Judge Day took the bond under advisement and said he would issue a written order in several days. Teri Crawford, left, and her daughter Jennifer Curtis cry in the front row while Leatha Shropshire, second row left, and daughter Veronica Lively turn their backs as Brent Marsh reads a prepared statement to the courtroom Friday afternoon in the Walker County Judiciary Annex in LaFayette Georgia. Mr. Marsh, former operator of the Tri-State Crematory, pled guilty to all charges but the judge is waiting to accept the plea until he can hear from all people involved.

Ray Brent Marsh faces a half-full Bradley County , Tenn. courtroom, Friday, Jan 7, 2005, and apologizes to family members for the wrongs he committed in the Tri-State Crematory case.

Natasha Mann takes a moment to compose herself during her testimony at former Tri-State Crematory operator Brent Marsh's sentencing hearing in LaFayette Monday. Ms. Mann's father was sent to the crematory.

Grieving family members Stacy Harris, left, leans forward to console Vivica Roe as she remembers her dad, Robert Clay Roe, Sr. as 10 witnesses took the stand at the Bradley County, Tenn. Justice Complex to tell Brent Marsh, and the court, of their hardships since the beginning of the Tri-State Crematory Case. Ms. Roe

**FILE** Officials with a Bobcat and a backhoe dig behind the home of Ray Brent Marsh, 28, outside of Noble, Ga., in this Feb. 19, 2002, file photo. Several revelations were made in recently unsealed depositions in a federal lawsuit that went to trial in March 2004 in the case of a former northwest Georgia crematory operator accused of dumping 334 bodies and passing off concrete dust as people's remains. The revelations include: Heavy machinery was used to remove some bodies, two sets of remains were misidentified and given to the wrong families and an official says the state's chief medical examiner left the crime scene for long periods to spend time with a subordinate. Defense lawyers for Ray Brent Marsh plan to use the testimony to prove that authorities botched the Feb. 2002 investigation. (AP Photo/Ric Feld, File)
