Debate Rules
The debate will begin with a two-minute opening statement from each candidate. A coin toss will determine the order. Moderator Dave Flessner will ask alternating questions of the candidates. Candidates will each have two minutes to respond. If an answer contains a challenge or criticism of the opposing candidate, the opposing candidate will have 90 seconds for rebuttal. Deciding whether the candidate receives that ninety seconds for rebuttal is at the moderator’s discretion. Each candidate will be given three minutes for a closing statement.
