Charges against Alexander Rodriquez, the Hamilton County school bus driver charged with raping a student, have been bound over to a grand jury.

A charge of aggravated statutory rape, a two-level reduction from his original charge of rape, was bound over on agreement, his attorney said Thursday. Rodriquez’s case will go before a grand jury, which will decide if there is enough evidence to indict him.

Rodriquez, 34, was arrested in early March after a student who rode the school bus he was contracted to drive was reported missing. When she returned home, she told police Rodriquez had taken her to a Super 8 Motel and forced her to have sex with him.
