Jamario NicholsonA Chattanooga man was booked into the Hamilton County jail today for a child rape charge that stems from a 2007 incident.
Jamario Nicholson, 23, faces one count of child rape. The incident allegedly happened in December 2007, when he was 16 years old.
Hamilton County Juvenile Court retains jurisdiction for any alleged crime that takes place when a suspect is a juvenile, so the case started in juvenile court.
However, Nicholson was transferred into adult court on Thursday. He will be treated as an adult from now on.
