ST. CHARLES, Mo. — A 26-year-old St. Charles man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for sodomizing and strangling his girlfriend’s 4-month-old daughter.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Jordan Prince was sentenced Thursday. A jury in March found him guilty of first-degree murder, child abuse and forcible sodomy in the death of Ashlynn Lillith Peters.
Prince did not speak at the sentencing hearing.
The child’s mother, 27-year-old Jessica Lynn Howell, was sentenced to 25 years in prison earlier this year after pleading guilty to felony murder and child abuse.
Howell encouraged Prince to have sexual contact with her daughter in 2012. Ashlynn was discovered lifeless inside Prince’s mobile home and later died of her injuries.
