Reports of two separate shootings took place within about 15 minutes and two miles of each other Tuesday night.
The first incident occurred at 9:24 p.m. on 1705 Wilson St. and the second at 9:39 p.m. on 1000 S. Hickory St., according to the Hamilton County 911 website.
At the Wilson Street location, one person was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, a Hamilton County dispatcher said. Police say 36-year-old Ronald L. Chubb suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. He told police he was shot by an unknown black man while walking down the street.
At the South Hickory Street location, two people were transported to the hospital also with non-life-threatening injuries, the dispatcher said. Police were also responding to reports of gun shots there, too.
At this time there is no suspect information available on either shooting and police do not believe the two shootings are connected, according to a Chattanooga Police Department news release.
