Pump the brakes: Despite having so many starters back, the Bison are still a very young team with six sophomores and two freshmen likely to start on both sides of the ball. It’s difficult to expect a team with that many youngsters lining up against older, stronger players to win many individual battles.

Route ’15: The Bison will be a more dangerous team simply because of the amount of experience returning, and as long as the starters remain healthy, there is talent to contend with most of the teams in their region.

Taking the wheel: The senior duo of Eric George and Jordan Harman rarely will come off the field. Harman will play slot receiver, running back and backup quarterback on offense and linebacker on defense, while George is a receiver/safety who also will handle all the kicking duties. The two will return kickoffs and punts.

Cruise control: Junior QB Hunter Hill has a strong arm and can be elusive, but he needs to work on his accuracy and taking care of the ball. Turnovers were a killer for a young, undermanned team last year. Pierce Porter also is back after missing much of last season with ankle injuries and could make a difference as a receiver and defensive back.
