Cleveland began as a one-house stop in southeast Tennessee. Built by Andrew Taylor, the log house was a popular spot for travelers to stop due to its many springs. The area quickly grew, and in 1842, the city was incorporated.
Today, Cleveland is full of life. Home to the top-rated Lee University as well as plenty of events and activities, this country town has gone from travel stop to travel destination.
