Postal service customers wait in line in this file photo.The credit card systems in at least two Chattanooga post offices are reportedly down this afternoon during the pre-Christmas rush to mail cards, letters and packages.
The system failure was reported to the Times Free Press just after noon. The North Shore and downtown locations are affected. Postal service customers are unhappy about the problem.
The postal service is still accepting cash.
