The City Council will soon advertise three posts on the newly reconfigured Passenger Vehicle for Hire Board.

The new transportation ordinance, which reformed the board and opened the door for rideshare companies such as Uber, Lyft and Sidecar to operate in the city, will go into effect Thursday.

Wade Hinton said there are two expired terms and one vacancy on the current transportation board.

The Council will accept applications for the PVH board until noon Feb. 13. And the Council will nominate and select board members on Feb. 17.
