Signal Mountain senior Chris Moore has committed to play football for Tennessee Tech.
The Eagles linebacker was second among Chattanooga-area defenders with 124 tackles and also had 16.5 tackles for loss this past season.
“He’s a kid with a great motor. He played hard all the time,” Signal coach Bill Price said of the three-year starter.
Price noted that Moore never missed a practice in four years and said his best days as a player are ahead of him.
“He’s 6-foot-3 and 255 pounds and he’s going to get a lot bigger,” the coach said. “He’s grown three inches in the last couple of years. He’s a great student, a high-character kid that comes from a good family and the kind of kid that did what it took to make himself into a college prospect.”
