FedEx Ground, the small-package ground delivery unit of Memphis-based FedEx Corp., is looking at putting another facility in Chattanooga.

“This is something that’s proposed,” FedEx Ground spokesman Jesse Bull said Friday.

Bull said he didn’t have a time frame about when a final decision will be made about such a project and wouldn’t share details.

But FedEx said it continues to evaluate the need for additional facilities and is continuously in talks with government officials. The company said it doesn’t discuss specifics of a project until all the details have been finalized.

“It’s not a definite project,” Bull said.
