Staff Photo by Dave FlessnerGeorgia Department of Labor career centers in LaFayette and Rome will host recruitments next Tuesday to help Mohawk Industries Miller Zell recruit workers for jobs in Northwest Georgia.
The Lafayette Career Center will help Mohawk Industries hire 50 workers for its plants in Lyerly and Summerville in Chattooga County. The recruitment will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Chattooga County Civic Center located at 44 Highway 48 in Summerville.
Mohawk is recruiting binders and weavers with at least one year of experience. The company is also recruiting twisting and utility workers, for which no experience is required. Salaries range from $9.97 to $14.94 an hour.
Also on Tuesday, the Rome Career Center will host a recruiting event for Miller Zell, a company that specializes in retail store design and development. The recruitment will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the career center located at 462 Riverside Parkway.
The company is recruiting four field personnel to travel throughout the country installing the merchandising and marketing fixtures in retail stores. The salary is $15 an hour, plus travel expenses.
