Rethink need for new children’s hospital
Hamilton County is lucky to have Erlanger as its community hospital.
I have been an Erlanger patient for 30 years. My children were born there, I had cancer surgery there, and most recently my granddaughter was born there and then had to spend a few days in Children’s Hospital.
All of these were quality experiences. However, I do not support a new children’s hospital for a number of reasons.
Erlanger is a community hospital, and yet there has not been substantive community dialogue about this expansion. This is Erlanger’s vision, not our community’s vision. Is this the Chattanooga way?
