MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) – Kevin White wanted to show NFL scouts that he’s more than just a fast wide receiver. He set out to showcase his ability to run routes and catch passes at West Virginia’s pro day on Friday.

White ran a 4.35-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. He didn’t participate in timed drills Friday but took 15 throws from former teammate Clint Trickett, catching all but the last attempt.

Both White and Alabama’s Amari Cooper want to be the first wide receiver taken in next month’s draft. White says he’s “hands down” the best wide receiver available.

He would be perfectly happy being selected fourth overall in the draft by the Oakland Raiders, who have hired Jack Del Rio as their new head coach.
