TALLADEGA, Ala. (AP) – Roush Fenway Racing teammates Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Greg Biffle led the way in Friday’s two practice sessions at Talladega Superspeedway.

Stenhouse turned in the fastest lap at 200.780 mph in the first session Friday. Biffle went 197.859 to pace the second session.

Stenhouse finished fourth at Bristol two weeks ago in a season in which Roush Fenway as an organization has struggled.

He says he feels his car is capable of contending. In a track known for chaos and crashes, Stenhouse says he doesn’t care if his car is “in one piece as long as I cross the finish line first. I’ll do it upside down.”

Biffle says he was extremely happy with his car’s speed but he also got a big draft early in the session.
