Travel Channel logoAs many as 100 employees from Travel Channel could be moving to Knoxville as the network relocates its headquarters here from Maryland by the middle of 2016.
In an email released to Scripps Networks Interactive employees today and confirmed by the company, Scripps Networks CEO Ken Lowe said Travel Channel - one of the company's brands - will be moving its headquarters to Knoxville from Chevy Chase, Md.
"As we continue to break down the silos that often get in the way of the creative focus and discipline for which Scripps Networks is known, today we are announcing that Travel Channel will move its headquarters from its long-time home in Chevy Chase, Maryland, to Knoxville," the email said. "This change will drive even deeper coordination across all brands and more completely aligns our leading lifestyle portfolio."
